Frequently asked questions about CoinVett — from first steps to AI analyses and security checks.
Getting started
What is CoinVett?
CoinVett is a crypto platform that combines live market data, AI analyses, contract security checks, portfolio tracking and watchlists in one place. The goal is to turn noisy crypto information into clearer decisions.
How do I create an account?
Open the register page, sign up with your email and password, and follow the onboarding steps. Once signed in, you can save a watchlist, track holdings, run analyses and manage alerts.
How do I find a specific coin?
Use the search in the market overview or open a coin page directly from lists, comparisons or your watchlist. CoinVett also groups assets by categories if you want to browse themes first.
Crypto profile finder
What is the crypto profile finder?
Five short questions about budget, frequency, risk, time horizon and experience. Out of that you get a profile category and a list of coins that people in that category often follow — with a short note on what each one is and where its risks sit. It is a starting point for your own research, not a recommendation and not investment advice.
Why doesn't CoinVett tell me what to buy?
Because that would be investment advice, and CoinVett is not licensed to give it — nobody here knows your finances, your taxes or your obligations. So instead of telling you what to buy, the finder shows you a category, the coins that come up in it and the data behind them. The decision stays with you, and for anything binding, talk to a licensed advisor.
General
Is CoinVett free?
Yes. Market overview, coin pages, AI analyses, news, blog, Fear & Greed — all usable without an account. For extended features like portfolio tracking and price alerts you need a free account.
Which coins are supported?
Currently the top 250 by market cap. When a coin enters the list, it automatically gets its own page with chart, market data, security check and AI analysis.
How current is the data?
Prices: every 5 minutes. News: every 2 hours. Fear & Greed: daily. AI analyses run on their own schedule — they refresh when a coin makes a clear move or when the last analysis has aged out.
In which languages is CoinVett available?
German, English, French, Spanish. Fully — including analyses, news, blog articles and coin descriptions.
Portfolio & Watchlist
What is the difference between portfolio and watchlist?
Your portfolio is for holdings you actually own and want to track with entries, quantities and performance. Your watchlist is for coins you want to monitor without adding them as positions.
How do I add holdings?
Go to Portfolio and add a holding with coin, amount, price and date. CoinVett uses that data to calculate your position value, performance and realized changes over time.
How do I set price alerts?
Add a coin to your watchlist, open its settings and define the price level you care about. You can review and manage active alerts anytime on the Alerts page.
AI analyses
How do the AI analyses work?
CoinVett combines market data, recent price action, macro signals and on-chain/security inputs to generate a short AI summary with a rating. The result is designed as a research shortcut, not as a black-box promise.
What do Bullish / Neutral / Bearish mean?
Bullish means the current data looks mostly positive, Neutral means the signals are mixed, and Bearish means the data currently shows more risks than positives. These labels describe the data behind an analysis, not a guaranteed outcome.
How often are analyses updated?
Analyses refresh automatically in the background — either when a coin makes a clear price move or when the last analysis has aged out. For the larger coins that usually means several times a week; quieter coins get refreshed on the routine cycle instead.
What is the Trust Score?
The Trust Score is a quick 0–100 confidence signal that reflects the latest risk and quality inputs behind a coin analysis. A higher score suggests fewer warning signs, while a lower score calls for extra caution and more research.
Security
What is the Security Check?
The Security Check is a smart-contract risk scan for tokens. It looks at signals such as honeypot risk, taxes, proxy setup, mintability and holder concentration.
What do the security badges mean?
Badges summarize the latest contract scan at a glance. Safe means few warnings, Caution and Risky mean increasing concerns, Danger flags strong red signals, while Established or Not audited indicate why a classic risk badge may not apply.
Is CoinVett financial advice?
No. CoinVett provides information, analysis and educational content, but it does not provide financial, investment or tax advice. Always do your own research and make your own decisions.
Comparison & Tools
How does coin comparison work?
Pick two coins and see them side by side: price, market cap, volume, performance, security rating. Helps with the "Coin A or Coin B?" question.
What does the Fear & Greed Index show?
A scale from 0 to 100. 0 means extreme fear in the market, 100 means greed. Useful for gauging whether panic or euphoria is running the show. Historically, beginners have typically bought during extreme greed and sold during extreme fear.
Where do the news come from?
We collect news from established crypto sources and rewrite them editorially — in all four languages. No copy-paste, every article is independently written.
