Optimism is an Optimistic Rollup on Ethereum — like Arbitrum but with a different vision. The OP Stack is an open-source framework for building custom chains. Base (Coinbase), Zora and others already use it. Together they form the "Superchain" — a network of interoperable L2s.

OP Token
Like ARB, OP is a governance token, not a gas token. Fees are paid in ETH. The Superchain thesis is the main argument for OP: if enough chains use the OP Stack, network value rises.
